Good day, and welcome to Bus Stop - a small talk message board. Registration is not required and each post remains on the site for only a day, after which, it disappears.

If you find this place empty, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's completely abandoned. Feel free to make a post to start a discussion, perhaps someone will see it and reply!

Bus Stop is intended to be a stress free environment for talking with strangers. Try to keep a relaxed demeanor when posting, please don't say anything that might ruin the other person's day.
I hope we meet again.

Bus Stop uses an extended version of WakabaMark markup code for post formatting.
The basic features are as follows:
  • Surround text with * or _ to make it italic. _Like this_ or *like this*.
  • Surround text with ** or __ to make it bold.
  • Surround text with %% to make a spoiler
  • Make an unordered HTML list by beginning each line with *, or -. You can add line breaks in list entries by breaking the line and indenting the next line with one or more spaces.
  • Make ordered HTML lists by beginning the first line with "1."
  • Make quote sections by beginning each line with ">". Highlighting text and then clicking the post number will quote the selected text.
  • Make code sections by indenting each line by four spaces or one tab. Code sections get shown in a monospaced font, and are not otherwise formatted.
  • Make external links by just typing the URL you want to link to. Post references like >>0 can be created by clicking the post's number and are automatically turned into links. You can link posts from other boards like this >>>/test/#0. The first youtube link in the post gets embedded, unless the post has a file attachment.
If you want to make a large post with complex formatting you can test if everything looks right here.

Please fill in the subject field with a clearly defined topic when appropriate. This not only enables browsing the site like a regular message board by filtering posts with the same subject but also serves another purpose. Subjects have a longer lifespan than posts; this means that even when a subject's thread is empty, it remains in the list for several days since the last post. In the event that this board is empty, it should help a new user or someone who hasn't visited the site for a long time understand what kind of things were being discussed recently.
The board's look can be customized from the options menu, which is accessible by clicking [+] in the bottom right corner of the sidebar. Available options are as follows:
  • [theme]: switches the visual style of the site.
  • [Mona]: enables the Mona font. If your browser has problems with rendering it, turn it off to use a system font.
  • [⟳]: enables auto reloading of the page each 90 seconds.
  • [?]: controls visibility of the info post.
Options are stored in your browser's cookies, be sure to enable them, if you want to save your settings.

Bus Stop is also available through this URL vip.bus-stop.net
This is the JavaScript-free mirror of the site, so if you like, you can use it to browse the scriptless version of Bus Stop without disabling JavaScript in your browser.
Please note, that you need to solve a captcha to make posts with disabled JavaScript.

User submitted themes are placed on different subdomains as well:

Just buy from a dispensary or grow your own. If you can't do either of those, do you really need the drug?

AI psychosis is strange, yet it's only the tip of the iceberg with regards to the new overdependence on LLMs. Like the guy who fed it some numerological bull, got some numerological bull back, and thought he'd redefined math. People seriously believe the darndest things.

What's funny is I think what made me sceptical and saved me from such overdependence is just the fact that I was a major contrarian chud when AI exploded.

I used it quite regularly but grew frustrated when it refused to glaze Hitler or whatever I wanted it to do, no matter how I nudged. I wasn't comparing my experience to anyone at the time, but I think the fact that I had to try so hard to get that typical sort of validation which leads people to peak AI dependency is what made me aware of the redundant and masturbatory nature of the whole the whole enterprise.

It was at this point that I did research and learned that it (at least the one I was using) was basically a glorified word factory trained on loads of other people's writing and constrained by center-leftish Californian ideology--that is, it was built up and then limited by its makers, meaning it was just an inert device with a particular bias--and soon I was too disillusioned to take what it said as factual.

These days I only deign to ask it useless trivia or very subjective questions that have no real bearing on my life.

with all due(?) respect, this is like the most obvious shit ever. You, as someone who deigned to vomit ~3 paragraphs on AI and its enterprise, had to do research to understand that LLMs are trained? It's basically in the name. I guess that's to be expected from someone who at any point had the capacity to "glaze" Hitler

I hate to bring negativity here, but the verbiage and content of this is just so exasperating forgive me bussers :,(

Anyways, I love November. The first being a grey, rainy, cold Sunday on the first day of daylight savings ending was just so perfectly "November", though I couldn't get anything done after 5PM
